I need to stop neglecting this blog so much! So much has happened in my life these past few months and I just wanted to give some updates!
My first quarter at UC Santa Cruz just ended and I'm on my winter break. I did so many fun things and met a lot of new people, some of whom I think I'll have a relationship with for a long time. Finals week was so stressful and hectic! But I managed to go through it without pulling my hairs out :3
On my first week at UCSC, we had Welcome Week. The school quarter didn't officially start until after that week. We were able to meet new people, hang out, and explore around UCSC-geting comfortable and use to our new home that we're going to spend the next four years of our lives at.
For incoming freshmans, they planned an event called Boardwalk Frolic. It was at the Boardwalk (obviously). I was with one of my roommate and a friend that I just met, who my roommate already knew.
This picture was taken the night of Boardwalk Frolic. The quality doesn't do much justice to the amazing scenery you see in person. So here's another picture I took earlier that day.....
My roommate's a little scared to go on roller coasters so we didn't go on much rides but that was fine with me cause I wasn't feeling up for any rides at the moment. But I DO LOVE roller coasters! So next time I visit the Boardwalk, I'm definitely going to ride ALL of the roller coasters! :D Maybe I'll go with my boyfriend, since we both love roller coasters and he's rode all the rides there already. So he'll know all the fun rides!
When it was Halloween, we had a Pumpkin Carving & Cupcake Decorating party for our floor that our CA (Community Assistant-somewhat like an RA) had organized for us. She wanted us to get to know everyone on the floor, but I feel like she hasn't been too successful in that.
I know practically everyone on my floor, besides the rest of the people on the other side. I don't know how it turned out that way but it just did. A lot of people don't like our CA- I don't really have much of an opinion on her. She's nice and everything, people just feel like she treats us as little kids a lot of the time.
The pumpkin's nose looks really long huh? My floormate wanted the pumpkin to look like.....someone, I forgot who xD But overall it's a good lookin' pumpkin eh? ;)
On Halloween weekend, some of the girls on my floor and I went to this Merill Halloween Dance Party.
I didn't bring any costumes with me so I made up my costumes. I had a difficult time deciding what to be the whole time lol. But I finally got some good costume ideas.
At the Merill Dance party, I was like a Rocker Motorcycle chick-something like that. But because of my huge hair pouf, some people thought I was Snookie?!?!? LOL Does my hair look like Snookie's?? I didn't see it at all.
My friends made me pose. They kept saying, "Do a sexy pose! Look fierce!!" LMAO.
Now on to the actual Halloween day! :)

I didn't get to go home until it was Thanksgiving. I was suuuper super homesick! :(

I love spending time with my floormates! We always do weird, crazy stuff together. So sometimes it can get a little too loud on our floor (I guess) and our CA would have to keep telling us to quiet down.
But I don't think she realizes how loud all the other peoples floor over at the other buildings are like. Some floors are really really crazy at night o.o
We went exploring one night to Porter Caves! It was really cool inside. At first it was a little freaky cause it was just a hole you go underneath to get into the caves.
I kept wanting to go further, but some people didn't want to because it got too steep and we were at the point where we were practically crawling on the ground. We were all covered in mud once we got out haha.
During finals week, everyone on our floor were slowly going back home once they were done with finals. I wasn't done until waaay later into the week so I was one of the last ones to leave.
So with the rest of the people still on our floor, we decided to go get some ice cream downtown and go exploring a little bit.
We were right besides the Santa Cruz Mission. The place was closed so next time, we're going to visit it!
Well that's most of the things that has been going on for the past few months. I'm absolutely going to update more frequently on this blog!
